About NAZAS
Established to combat poverty and empower the Muslim community through the strategic collection and distribution of Zakat and Sadaqat.
Who We Are
The NASFAT Agency for Zakat and Sadaqah (NAZAS) was established in 2014 and is registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee (GTE) with registration number 1167914. Our core mandate is to combat poverty, particularly within the Muslim community.
We are dedicated to raising awareness about the obligation of Zakat—the third pillar of Islam. Beyond collection and distribution, we manage Waqf (endowments), oversee Kaffarah (atonements), provide guidance on Zakat calculations, execute wills, and offer educational and welfare programs, including support for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
Starting operations in Lagos State in March 2014, we have expanded to include a branch office in Ogun State. Our activities are overseen by an 8-person Board of Directors comprising experts in their respective fields.

We also aim to institute or support further research that improves the administration of Zakat in Nigeria, ensuring our methods evolve with the times while staying true to Islamic principles.
